So much carbon dioxide!

Q: According to your calculator a plane that burns 150 tonnes of fuel on a flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong, generate around 450 tonnes of carbon dioxide. Why? (August 2006, Anon customer)

A: Each molecule of carbon combines with two molecules of oxygen when it is burnt, so the emissions weigh more than the fuel!

Q: Our charity does a fair amount of travelling, all booked through a single agency. How can we make sure we offset all the travel
